Early Fact Family
Hello everyone. I made this game today for math to help the kids understand (we've worked on this a lot) that 4 plus 6 is the same as 6 plus 4. If you have been following my blog, you may remember my "Baby Algebra" game. I sort of used this concept to show the kids what equal means and it morphed into this game. The kids work with a partner and they each roll a dice. Depending on what you are working on (addition or subtraction), the kids write the amount that is on the dice in the two circle boxes. Then they write the equation in the first box and the flip or reverse in the second box. My hope is that this will help with their understanding of facts when we get to fact families. It's not pretty, but the kids had fun with this one so I thought I'd share.
