Hello everyone, I want to share with you all my new blog I have going. I applied for a grant, that I received, that gave my classroom 20 iPads for a 1:1 initiative. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! It is so awesome and has changed learning in my room. I have been hugged so much these past several days more than I have all year! I'm constantly hearing the kids say how much fun they are having and the best part is they are LEARNING! They are engaged and their understanding of not only the concepts I'm teaching but their knowledge and use of technology has also grown. Most, but not all, of these kids have used an iPad before but I'm not really using them in the same way as they are used to. I love that this is leveling the playing field for the kids that do not have access to technology at home. So, if you are interested, follow along on our iPad journey at

Congrats on your grant! I am so glad you are blogging about your experiences with iPads in the classroom. I've thought about writing a grant for a class set, but was unsure of how I would use them. Hi! I've enjoyed checking out your blog! iPads are so much fun to teach with and it's very exciting you received a grant for 1:1! I teach with my personal ipad and have found some really awesome apps. I'm not sure if you have this app, but you should check it out: Techchef4u on itunes. It's an educational app where you can put in a search criteria to find free educational apps for any grade/subject area. I hope this helps you continue to expand your teaching with ipads. I've also created a blog recently and would love for you to follow. I'm now following you and look forward to all the great things you will post this upcoming school year.
