This posting is going to be an experiment. I need you all to let me know if you think this is something your kids will like and if so, I'm prepared to make more of these. I made the picture from d.j.inkers clip art and for the first one I decided to use the black and white option. I showed it to my kids today and told them it could be one of their word work or work on writing choices during Daily 5. Unfortunately, we never got to it today, so I don't know how long it would take but they seemed excited about it. What I did was make a picture and then I hid sight words in it. I copied this idea from a wonderful blog Kdoublestuffed(we work in the same building, so I got her permission to steal her idea!). Check out her blog, it is amazing and she posts way more often than I do. Anyway, if you have little magnifying glasses, the kids can use them to "find" the words. I was told that Target dollar spot had cute ones on sale this week. I need to go and check it out myself. Let me know if you like these and I will gladly make more.
I love the idea! Students will be thrilled that they have to use a magnifying class and their focus will be intense! :)
